⚠️ AI Advice Disclaimer
All AI-generated content in Zanboor (Q&A answers, mite counts, swarm-risk assessments, hive reports) is not veterinary or professional advice. The information provided is for educational and informational purposes only. Always consult with a qualified bee inspector, veterinarian, or experienced beekeeper before making health or treatment decisions.

Notifiable Diseases — Your Legal Duty

In the United Kingdom, certain bee diseases are statutorily notifiable under the Bee Diseases and Pests Control Order 2006. If you suspect any of the following diseases, you must report them to the National Bee Unit (NBU) immediately:

Do not rely solely on AI answers. If Zanboor's AI says "probably not AFB" or "doesn't look like EFB", that is not a diagnosis. If you see signs of foulbrood (ropey larvae, sunken cappings, foul smell, scale), contact the NBU immediately:

Failure to report notifiable diseases is a criminal offence and can result in prosecution, destruction of your colonies, and movement restrictions on your apiaries.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Zanboor includes AI-powered features (Q&A, mite counter, swarm-risk assessment, hive performance reports). These features are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate. Large language models can hallucinate facts, misinterpret context, or produce incorrect counts. You are responsible for verifying all information before acting on it.

Specific limitations:

Zanboor is not a replacement for professional advice. If you are uncertain about hive health, disease diagnosis, or treatment decisions, consult with an experienced beekeeper, your local BKA, or the National Bee Unit.

Treatment Records & UK VMR Compliance

Under the UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations (VMR), beekeepers who administer veterinary medicines to their bees must keep records for 5 years. Zanboor provides a treatment record feature to help you meet this requirement.

You are solely responsible for maintaining accurate treatment records. Zanboor is a tool to assist with record-keeping, but it does not guarantee VMR compliance. If you are subject to an inspection by APHA, you must be able to provide your records (either via Zanboor export or by other means).

Zanboor does not integrate with BeeBase or APHA systems. You are responsible for submitting any required reports to the NBU separately.
